OC Vettes (OCV), which is affiliated with the
National
Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC), is a
club of individuals who enjoy driving, the camaraderie and fellowship
which exists with other Corvette owners.
OCVettes started
in 2007, as a
club of individuals who like to drive, slalom race and interrelate with
other Corvette owners. Many of our get-togethers draw a good percentage of members and several
tours which are planned during the year are 2 to 4 day events. For
instance, each year a contingent of 6 to 10 cars participate in the
Arizona
Rt. 66 Fun Run,
which is a 4 day event.
Currently,
the club has over 63 singles and couples as members and faithfully enjoy
a varied
Calendar of events
each month (see OCV Events on this Web). A membership meeting (dinner
available) is held the 1st Tuesday of each month. This business meeting is
generally attended by many members which make it business and a social
evening. Traditionally, the third Tuesday evening each month is a Social
Night at a local restaurant or Drive-in, selected months in advance. A
tour is usually scheduled each month during a weekend or over a weekend,
depending on the tour length. Overall, OCV leads a active social life.
Many members become longtime friends and continue to associate for many
years.
The club
has a Newsletter (The Orange Pits), which we would be happy to send you,
to make you current to the
latest events
scheduled.
Our affiliation
with NCCC does provide "additional" insurance (over your present car
insurance) for any incident which might occur while participating on a
scheduled club event.
If you are
interested in Corvettes, or own one, we would love to have you "try us
out". Stop by one of our Business Meetings at the first part of the
month, get on our mailing list and get ready for some fun.
